What is “dofollow” and “nofollow” link?

What is “dofollow” and “nofollow” link?

nofollow link is link that has (rel=”nofollow”) in it html form.

Then “dofollow” link is simply the link that does not use the “nofollow” attribute (rel=”nofollow”).
“dofollow”link is link that is followed by search engine, especially Google, but “nofollow link” is not.
“nofollow” link will only give you direct traffic, but “dofollow” link will get your direct traffic and at the same time it is followed by search engine.
See examples below for better understanding:
<a href=”http://myownpeoplesearch.com” rel=”nofollow”>Find People</a>

“nofollow” and “dofollow” blog
Normally we are always looking for a high page rank blog to leave our comments and build backlinks. However, at this moment, by default, “nofollow” attribute is used to all links that are placed in the comment section of a blog, unless it is made “dofollow” by the webmaster. When it is “nofollow”, your effort will not create credit (backlink) to your destination/targeted website. So it is important to know whether you are leaving comment on a “dofollow” blog or not in your backlink building process.
